smashing the atom

So you wanted to know what exactly is happening, in plain english. 

the thing has been switched on, were all safe, we were not gulped by the black hole. As a matter of fact even if we were gulped and have become antimatter and emerged in a parallel universe through a white hole, would we be able to know? 

FYI, the real experiment is in october, the thing just got switched on. 

heres something interesting, 

a CERN spokesman said: “It will not be producing anything that does not already happen routinely in nature.”

So, these dudes spent billions to do something that happens routinely in nature. i thought this was a moment to ponder about.
